Samantha Pearson is a correspondent for The Wall Street Journal in Brazil, where she has lived since 2010. She was previously the Financial Times Brazil Correspondent.
After graduating from Cambridge University with a double-starred first in modern and medieval languages, she joined the FT in 2008 and won a Jones-Mauthner award in 2012 for international reporting.
She has also worked for Reuters in São Paulo and written for the Folha de São Paulo newspaper and Veja magazine in Brazil, the Independent and Sunday Times Magazine in the UK and the Jersualem Post in Israel.
She lives in São Paulo with her husband, Raphael, and their son, Thomas.
